At CUESA, we condemn violence, harassment, and hate against Asian Americans, from the devastating murder of eight women in the Atlanta metro area last week to the ongoing attacks against our Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) neighbors in the Bay Area.
As an organization dedicated to making farmers markets, communities, and our food system safe, inclusive, and healthy for everyone, we are committed to dismantling white supremacy in all of its forms. We grieve with and stand in solidarity with the AAPI community. Stopping racism begins here in our markets, in how we show up and care for each other, and in the bigger actions we take to uproot racism in our educational, governmental, food, and health care systems.
As part of our ongoing work to dismantle racism in our organization and food system, our team will be engaging in the 21-Day Racial Equity Challenge, starting April 5. Please join us by signing up here! There are many ways you can take personal action to fight hate and support AAPI communities specifically. Here are a few resources, including opportunities to donate, get involved, and volunteer
