If you have a donor advised fund (DAF), making a gift to Foodwise is very easy. Simply contact your DAF representative directly and recommend a donation in support of Foodwise. Provide your sponsoring organization with the following information:

  • The amount of your donation
  • Foodwise’s Federal Taxpayer ID Number: 94-3212988
  • Our mailing address: Foodwise, 1 Ferry Building, Suite 250, San Francisco, CA 94111

Your generous donation could be doubled or tripled if your employer offers a matching gift program. Check here or contact your employer’s Human Resources department to see if they will match your gift to Foodwise. By joining Foodwise’s Sustainers monthly giving group, you provide reliable funding we can count on to sustain our farmers markets and programs today and plan for the future. Enroll online or contact Cindy Mendoza at or (415) 291-3276 x 103.

If you’re at least 70½ years old, making an IRA gift to Foodwise is easy. Charitable gifts made through your IRA are not subject to income taxes and can lower your tax bill. Starting at age 73, they can be part of your required minimum distribution (RMD). You can give up to $100,000 through your IRA each calendar year. Contact your IRA administrator and request an “IRA Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD)” be made directly to Foodwise. Provide your IRA administrator with the following information:

  • The amount of your donation
  • Foodwise’s Federal Taxpayer ID Number: 94-3212988
  • Our mailing address: Foodwise, 1 Ferry Building, Suite 250, San Francisco, CA 94111

By giving appreciated property like stocks, bonds, or mutual funds, you can support Foodwise at a lower cost to you. To arrange for the transfer of stock, please contact Christine Farren at at (415) 291-3276 x101 for our account information.
