Give back to your community, support a healthy food system, and gain valuable skills by volunteering with Foodwise. Volunteers are vital members of our team who perform a wide range of duties such as assisting customers at our farmers markets, supporting chef demos, teaching kids to cook, and helping out behind the scenes at the Foodwise office. Make new friends and get hands-on culinary, event, and nonprofit experience by volunteering your time and talents with Foodwise.
If you are interested in becoming a Foodwise volunteer, please read through our volunteer handbook and fill out our online application. You will also need to attend an orientation (details below).
We require that all volunteers attend an orientation, which is held every three to five months, or watch a recording of one. Our next online volunteer orientation is on Wednesday, January 11, 5-6 pm; register on Eventbrite here. Zoom meeting info will be emailed after you register. If you are not able to attend, email firstname.lastname@example.org for a link to the latest recording.
Please also complete our online application before the orientation so we can learn a little more about you.
