Foodwise farmers markets accept CalFresh EBT (also known as SNAP or food stamps). During market hours, customers can use their EBT card at the Foodwise Info Booth to receive market coins.

CalFresh EBT shoppers can double their benefits through the Market Match program (up to a set maximum per market day). Market Match tokens redeemable in the market for fresh fruits and vegetables. Learn more.

Foodwise farmers markets also accept Fresh Approach VeggieRx, Eat SF Vouchers 4 Veggies, and WIC & FMNP vouchers. WIC (Women, Infants, and Children) and FMNP (Farmers Market Nutrition Program) vouchers must be redeemed directly at participating sellers’ stalls. Learn more.

Most of our farmers market sellers take credit cards and contactless payments (such as Apple Pay). Look for “We Take Credit Cards” signs at their stalls, or just ask them!

You can also use your credit card or contactless payment at the Foodwise Info Booth to purchase wooden market coins, which can be redeemed at any farmers market stall. Note: Market coin purchases with Square at the Info Booth will be assessed a service fee.

Ferry Plaza Farmers Market: ATM machines are located inside the Ferry Building on the north side and south side.

Mission Community Market: Find Wells Fargo and US Bank ATMs at the intersection of 22nd and Mission, and a Chase ATM at 21st and Mission.

Want to take out cash, but don’t want to wait at the ATM? You can also use your credit card or contactless payment at the Info Booth to purchase wooden market coins, which can be redeemed at any farmers market stall. Note: Market coin purchases with Square at the Info Booth will be assessed a service fee.

Bags weighing your down? Leave your purchases at our free Veggie Valet, and come back later or pick them up curbside. On Saturday, the Veggie Valet can be found curbside, south of the clocktower (8 am to 1 pm). On Tuesday and Thursday, the Veggie Valet service is offered through the Info Booth (10 am to 2 pm).

We encourage classes and groups to visit our farmers markets. At this time we do not offer tours, but we are sometimes able to accommodate requests for a brief introduction to the market by a staff member. Learn more.

Chefs are an important part of our farmers market community. Through our Market to Chef program, we support chefs who shop at the market for their business by offering curbside parking (requires an annual registration) and shopping carts for large purchases.
