Love on a Plate – Riblets with a Twist

Source: Brownie Sims, The Final Sauce

Recipe Type:

The Sims Girls, Brownie and Princess Sims, grew up surrounded by good food and even better family. Like many households, The Sims Girls remember the kitchen as the foundation of the family and cooking was a tradition passed down from the matriarchs. But one thing was special to them, and that was Aunt Marion’s secret barbecue sauce. Growing up, the sisters watched Aunt Marion make pots full of her famous barbeque sauce, stirring it with a big wooden spoon for hours. At family gatherings, the countertops were lined with mason jars in anticipation of leftover sauce. One day, Brownie decided to try to recreate the sauce on her own. Although Brownie recreated the recipe in 2014, The Final Sauce wasn’t perfected until Princess packed up her bags, drove 3,000 miles, and joined her sister in the kitchen. By combining Brownie’s creativity and Princess’ business savvy, the Sims Girls bring love and laughter to every batch of sauce.

Serves 4

INGREDIENTS

2 pounds spare ribs, cut 2 times, or other protein of choice
1 cup The Final Sauce Mustard Binder Marinade, enough to cover meat
4 tablespoon + 1 teaspoon The Final Sauce Love Story Spice Rub
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 cups arugula, washed
1 large red onion, thinly sliced
2-4 ears of corn, kernels sliced off the cob
4 cups shiitake mushrooms, thinly sliced
1 cup blackberries

PREPARATION

Marinade riblets in The Final Sauce Mustard Binder Marinade and 4 tablespoons of Love Story Spice Rub and let sit for at least 10 minutes or longer.

Preheat oven to 350 F. Once riblets are marinaded, bake in oven for 30 minutes until crust forms.

Heat large saute pan over high heat and add olive oil. Add red onion, mushrooms, and corn and saute. Season veggies with 1 tsp of Love Story Spice Rub. Cook until onions are translucent and mushrooms have released their liquid. Taste and add more Love Story Spice Rub as needed.

On a large plate, create a bed of arugula. Spread cooked veggies on top.

Place riblets on top. Sprinkle blackberries over ribs and drizzle with Final Sauce Original Barbecue Sauce. Enjoy!
