MarQuita, That’s My Jam

Saturday, August 17, 2024, 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

Stop by the Foodwise Classroom for a cooking demo featuring the seasonal bounty of the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market, as part of a day of Pop-Ups on the Plaza: Black Creators Craft Market on August 17, 2024.

Within her inner circle, MarQuita is affectionately referred to as the “Black Martha Stewart” because of her years-long love of all things gardening, farm life, crafting, and now crafting small batch jams. Her excitement about farm fresh produce opened the door to building That’s My Jam Company, a low sugar, pectin-free artisan jam company. When MarQuita isn’t busy transforming fruit and spices into jam, you can find her exploring new outdoor experiences and chasing sunsets. Be sure to visit her booth at Pop-Ups on the Plaza: Black Creators Craft Market.

All demos take place in the Foodwise Classroom (under the tents in front of the Ferry Building) and are free to the public, with recipes and samples for all.
