Goats & Oysters: A Tomales Bay Farm Adventure
Sunday, September 27, 2026, 9:00 am - 1:30 pm

Join Foodwise in visiting two Tomales Bay institutions that are part of our farmers market family: Hog Island Oyster Company and Tomales Farmstead Creamery.
We’ll start the morning with a tour of Hog Island Oyster Farm on the scenic shoreline of Marshall, where you’ll learn about their sustainable aquaculture techniques and enjoy a tasting of freshly shucked oysters. Then, we’ll head to Toluma Farms, home of the Tomales Farmstead Creamery, for a farm-fresh vegetarian lunch and sampling of their cheeses. You’ll then tour the goat dairy and cheesemaking operation, where you’ll get a look at the organic ranching and Animal Welfare Approved practices behind their award-winning cheeses—and even meet some baby goats!
Your ticket includes: Two guided farm tours to meet the people behind these beloved farms and get an inside look on how they make it all happen, lunch, and tastings at both stops. Come spend a day immersed in the landscape, farms, and flavors of Tomales Bay!
