Stop by the Foodwise Classroom for a cooking demo featuring the seasonal bounty of the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market. This month, we’re showcasing Greens of Spring as part of our Seasonal Spotlight program.

Maria Finn is an author, chef and storyteller who creates food & art experiences inspired by wild places. Her cookbook, Forage. Gather. Feast. launched in April 2024. She was the Chef-In-Residence at Stochastic Labs in Berkeley – an incubator for artists, scientists, and tech engineers. She is the founder of Flora & Fungi Adventures, which hosts wild food-centric adventures from California all the way north to Alaska. She launched The Institute for Ecosystem Based Living last year and produces events featuring science, art and food that explore ways in which humans can become keystone species on planet earth. She also hosts truffle talks, tastings and truffle hunting demonstrations with her truffle hound, Flora Jayne.

All demos take place in the Foodwise Classroom (under the tents in front of the Ferry Building) and are free to the public, with recipes and samples for all
