SF Chickenbox Says Goodbye

As of March 14, SF Chickenbox has made the difficult decision to close after six years of bringing mouthwatering chicken sandwiches and mochi muffins to our Bay Area community. We’ve enjoyed having their lovingly made food and warm presence at the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market over last two years.

Founder Christian Ciscle shared this heartfelt goodbye with our market community, adding an important call to action to keep supporting our Bay Area small food businesses and restaurants.

We already miss being at all of the weekly Foodwise Ferry Plaza Farmers Markets at the Ferry Building. Unfortunately, like so many other small restaurants and businesses, it has become impossible to keep our doors open. We were so lucky to be around this long, and it is bittersweet.

It was a dream come true being invited to be alongside so many incredible local food businesses, farms and producers. Legends. We are so thankful for all the friends we made! We will miss all of the customers, cooks, farmers, chefs, ferry and port workers, Ferry Building staff, and especially the market crew and other vendors!

Thank you, San Francisco, for stopping by our orange tent & giving us a try! It was an honor serving you, and we had alot of fun.

We hope you will keep supporting other small businesses. It is more crucial now than ever. Take care of each other!

Much love,
SF Chickenbox Crew
