In Memoriam: Edna Flores-Lagunte
June 13, 2014
One of CUESA’s most dedicated volunteers, Edna Flores-Lagunte, passed away on June 8, 2014, after suffering from a heart attack on June 4 during her ride in AIDS/Lifecycle. For 13 years, she rode the 7-day, 545-mile bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles to help raise awareness and funds and make a difference in the lives of people living with HIV and AIDS.
Recognized as our Volunteer of the Month in August 2013, she was a steadfast CUESA supporter, offering invaluable administrative help in the office and during crunch time at our annual fundraisers. She was ready to pitch in for this year’s Summer Celebration upon her return from AIDS/Lifecycle.
Her infectious smile, laugh and positive energy will be missed by all of us in the CUESA community who had the pleasure of her company.
