CUESA Farmers Market Box Will End on May 1
April 22, 2021
It’s been one year since we launched the CUESA Farmers Market Box to keep our community well fed during the pandemic and support our local farmers, who lost vital restaurant accounts. Together, we have delivered 4,900 fresh produce boxes and directed $175,000 to small, sustainable farms and food crafters over the last 12 months.
We are so grateful to our dedicated box customers as well as our farmers and food makers for your adaptation, partnership, and support during this challenging year. We especially want to thank our dedicated CUESA box volunteers, who showed up for us on Saturdays to pick up orders from farmers, carefully sort and pack produce, and safely hand off boxes to customers, all while staying socially distant and radiating positivity and smiles behind their masks. THANK YOU!
As we are working to best support our farmers and community in this time of transition and reopening, CUESA is ending the CUESA Farmers Market Box program. The final pickup/delivery day for boxes is Saturday, May 1, 2021.
The exciting news: We will soon be launching a new online shopping experience that we think you will love! You will have more options and flexibility to purchase items that you want, while continuing to support our Ferry Plaza Farmers Market farmers. We’ll have more news to share with you soon, so sign up for our e-letter to receive updates.
Thank you for your ongoing support of CUESA’s farmers market community, and for championing local food and farms!
