Habanero peppers

Native to South America but named after the city of Havana, the habanero is a fiery little lantern with fruity notes, making it a favorite ingredient in hot sauces (100,000?350,000 Scoville heat units). It is similar in shape and heat (but not to be confused with) the larger Scotch bonnet.
