Stop by the Foodwise Classroom for a cooking demo featuring the seasonal bounty. This month, we’re showcasing Tomatoes as part of our Seasonal Spotlight program.

Polly Sang is a chef and East Bay Regional Director for Kids Cooking for Life, a nonprofit organization teaching underserved children the importance of good nutrition and the social joy of food preparation through hands-on learning. Since their inception in 2009, KCL has grown from serving a start-up class of 12 students at one community center to reaching over 10,000 students at schools, youth organizations, hospitals, and community events throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.

All demos take place in the Foodwise Classroom (under the tents in front of the Ferry Building) and are free to the public, with recipes and samples for all.
