Stop by the Foodwise Classroom for a cooking demo featuring the seasonal bounty. This month, we’re showcasing Cucurbits as part of our Seasonal Spotlight program.
Naomi Webb oversees Foodwise’s Seasonal Spotlight educational programming, which includes seasonal tastings, demos, and monthly festivals in the farmers market. Having worked in the food service industry her entire life, she decided to formalize her education and earned her degree in Culinary Arts Management. While completing her final semester at City College of San Francisco, Naomi got her start at Foodwise as an intern for the Foodwise Kids program, then joined the staff as the Foodwise Teens Education Coordinator. Her favorite part of her job is witnessing people trying a new food, or teaching them to cook something from scratch.
All demos take place in the Foodwise Classroom (under the tents in front of the Ferry Building) and are free to the public, with recipes and samples for all.
