Stop by the Foodwise Classroom for a cooking demo featuring the seasonal bounty of the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market. This month, we’re showcasing Greens of Spring as part of our Seasonal Spotlight program.
Katie Reicher is the Executive Chef of San Francisco’s renowned Greens Restaurant and the author of the new cookbook Seasons of Greens: A Collection of New Recipes from the Iconic San Francisco Restaurant. After studying at the Culinary Institute of America, Katie began working at Greens in 2015 and was named Executive Chef in 2020. As the fourth Executive Chef in Greens’ history, she continues the legacy of all-female culinary leadership. Originally from New York State, Katie draws on personal traditions, global flavors, professional training, and seasonality to create innovative vegetarian dishes.
All demos take place in the Foodwise Classroom (under the tents in front of the Ferry Building) and are free to the public, with recipes and samples for all.
The demo will be followed by a book signing with book sales courtesy of Book Passage.
