Alisha Wilson, Lil’ Alijo Catering & Events

Saturday, February 28, 2026, 11:00 am - 11:45 am

Stop by the Foodwise Classroom for a cooking demo featuring the seasonal bounty of the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market. This month, we’re showcasing Brassicas as part of our Seasonal Spotlight program.

Born and raised in San Francisco, owner/chef Alisha Wilson is known for her unique and creative spin on classic dishes. Making her company a one-stop shop for companies and individuals looking for show-stopping dishes that are both aesthetically pleasing and palate pleasing. Her love for cooking is deep rooted in the South and started with her Mother Lois & Aunt Marie both hailing from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She also learned a ton Caribbean recipes and cooking technics from her Father Alijo’s side as well. That love expanded as she traveled the world and explored more cultures and flavors. In 2021 she launched her own catering business and online bakeshop, at Lil’ Alijo Catering & Events, which feature some of her favorite family signature dishes she learned growing up. Alisha has participated in the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market through Foodwise’s Building Equity program, in partnership with En2action.

All demos take place in the Foodwise Classroom (under the tents in front of the Ferry Building) and are free to the public, with recipes and samples for all.
