Support Foodwise Teens at CUESA's Farmers Markets This Fall

September 26, 2019

Foodwise Teens is back at CUESA’s farmers markets for the fall season. Local high school students are bringing their school garden produce and handcrafted products to market. Through this paid job training program run by CUESA, teens build skills to sustain healthy lives and a healthy planet!

Students from The Academy – San Francisco @ McAteer, John O’Connell High School, and Mission High School will be selling their school garden vegetables and flowers, rosemary salt, pineapple sage tea, and red cabbage kraut at CUESA’s farmers markets.

Support Bay Area youth on the following market dates:

Ferry Plaza Farmers Market on Saturdays (8 am to 12:30 pm): September 28 through November 16, 2019Mission Community Market on Thursdays (5 to 8 pm): September 26 through November 14, 2019

Through Foodwise Teens, students learn about sustainable food jobs and get hands-on experience in the garden, in the kitchen, and at the farmers market, while getting paid for their work. Students build life and job skills; grow, make, and sell their own fruits, vegetables, and food products; and eat good food!
