Cowgirl Creamery Says Goodbye to the Farmers Market
January 30, 2015
We are sad to report that, after 17 years in the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market, Cowgirl Creamery will be closing their Saturday market stand. Their last day in the market is January 31, but you can still find Cowgirl’s artisan organic cheeses seven days a week at their store inside the Ferry Building. Thank you to Sue Conley, Peggy Smith, and the Cowgirl crew for being a vibrant part of our community for so many years!
From Cowgirl Creamery:
After 17 years participating in the fabulous Ferry Plaza Farmers Market, Saturday, January 31 will be our last day. We began our company as young cheese makers working and selling at farmers markets. These markets provided a platform for our company to grow, forge meaningful relationships with our community, and continue to hone our recipes. We believe it is now time for us to make room for new, emerging cheese makers and afford them the opportunity to sell and evolve at one of the busiest markets in the nation.
We’ll continue to run the Cowgirl Creamery shop and Sidekick Cafe inside the Ferry Building. We look forward to seeing all the familiar faces!
—Sue, Peggy, and all of us at Cowgirl Creamery!
