Director of Operations
Lulu (she/her/hers) oversees all operations for Foodwise, including our year-round farmers markets, and provides support for our annual fundraising and educational events. Lulu joined the team in 2004 and during her time at Foodwise has developed and refined Foodwise’s Market to Chef Program and Building Equity Program, which supports business growth, economic viability, and asset-building for BIPOC entrepreneurs. On behalf of Foodwise, Lulu has participated on local, statewide, and national committees in support of small family farms, farm direct marketing, and nutrition incentives. A native San Franciscan, Lulu studied at the California Culinary Academy and had worked in the restaurant industry for more than 10 years before coming to Foodwise. Being surrounded by all of our wonderful farmers, local chefs, and food-savvy customers at the markets is the highlight of Lulu’s week. Meet Lulu.
