Prospective Sellers

Thank you for your interest in becoming a seller at Foodwise farmers markets. These include the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market, Mission Community Market, and Alemany Farmers Market in San Francisco.

Foodwise’s policy is to give preference to producers and vendors whose practices help support and cultivate a sustainable food system. For producers, all products must be grown in California, and we give preference to those who farm organically. For vendors, we prefer those who use organic, regionally grown produce, and who have at least two years’ experience in the restaurant/prepared food business. All prepared food is subject to blind tasting to assure product quality and appeal. 

We do not accept unsolicited samples.

In general, we are not currently accepting interest forms for the following items:  

• Carnival-like foods (such as cotton candy, candy apples, kettle corn, candy, etc.)
• Decorative crafts, apparel, and jewelry
• Books and other printed material
• Nationally distributed packaged foods or energy drinks
• Souvenirs, gift items, and greeting cards
• Cosmetics and personal care items
• Home and garden knick-knacks
• Wine, spirits, and beer
• Pet foods

How to Submit an Interest Form

Important: This is an interest form only. Submitting this form does not guarantee space will be available to add your farm or business to our markets. If, after reviewing your submission, we determine you are a good fit for our markets and a space is available, we will contact you about the next steps.  

When submitting an interest form, be sure to indicate which market(s) you are interested in:

• Ferry Plaza Farmers Market, San Francisco: Saturday 8 am-2 pm, Tuesday 10 am-2 pm, Thursday 10 am-2 pm (year round)
• Mission Community Market, San Francisco: Thursday 3-7 pm (March through November)
• Alemany Farmers Market, San Francisco: Saturday 7-3 pm (year round)

We have limited spaces at our markets to add new permanent sellers, but we also host a number of pop-up sellers each year.

Please be sure to complete the interest form thoroughly and include as much info as possible about your farm or business and the items you are interested in selling. Incomplete interest forms may not be considered.

Within 45 days of receipt of a new interest form, we will review the submission, ask additional questions if needed, and notify prospective sellers if they are accepted, waitlisted, or declined. However, due to our current renewing seller application process you should not expect to hear from us until after February 1, 2026. We do not have time to chat individually with every interested party, and will not accept unsolicited samples, but we will do our best to follow up with you in a timely fashion!
