Give the gift of fresh, locally grown food and handcrafted treats, while supporting local farms and food crafters! Nourish your friends and family by letting them choose their own delicious gift with a Farmers Market eGift Card. Our farmers market eGift Cards also make great corporate gifts.
How to Purchase and Use an eGift Card
- eGift Cards can be purchased on Square in any amount. They can be sent via email or text directly to your recipient.
- Your recipient must visit the Foodwise Info Booth (green tent) during farmers market hours to redeem the eGift Card. They will receive market coins in the value from their eGift Card to spend at any stand at our farmers markets (details below).
- Your recipient can also connect the eGift Card with their mobile phone for ease of redemption without the card number.
- eGift Cards have no expiration date and are redeemable at any of our farmers markets, including the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market (Saturday 8am-2pm, Tuesday & Thursday 10 am-2pm, year round) and Mission Community Market (Thursday 3-7pm, March-November).
- There are no refunds or cash exchanges for eGift Cards or market coins.

How Our Market Coins Work
- Our market coins are in $1 denominations and can be redeemed at any outdoor stand at our farmers markets. This allows you to shop at the farm stands selling fresh produce and flowers, stalls selling prepared foods such as cheeses and breads, and outdoor restaurants selling ready-to-eat food.
- There is no cash back available through this system. Your purchases will round up or down to a whole dollar—unless you have small change to make up the difference in the price of your purchase.
- The coins are not accepted by the private retail establishments inside the Ferry Building.

- Note that all market coin purchases with Square at the Info Booth will be assessed a service fee.
