Sukkot Pop-Up with JCCSF
Saturday, October 8, 2022, 9:00 am - 1:00 pm
Join JCCSF at the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market on Saturday, October 8, to celebrate and learn about Sukkot, a Jewish festival honoring the fall harvest.
From 9 am to 1 pm in the back plaza, step into a beautiful community sukkah (temporary hut), create seasonal crafts, and join in with local artist Leslie Jonath of Foraged Art to bring the market bounty to life with a giant harvest mandala. You’re also invited to learn about and perform the rituals of Sukkot by shaking the lulav and etrog, tasting a local honey flight from Marshall’s Farm and more!
At 10:30 am, stop by the Foodwise Classroom (front plaza) to discover a new apples and honey recipe with Ukranian chef and BUDMO! cookbook author Anna Voloshnya.
All are welcome. All activities are free unless otherwise noted and take place at Foodwise’s Ferry Plaza Farmers Market at the Ferry Building in San Francisco.
