Sukkot Pop-Up with JCCSF

Join JCCSF at the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market on Saturday, October 19, to celebrate and learn about Sukkot, a Jewish festival honoring the fall harvest.
Experience the beauty of a community sukkah by connecting, creating and eating together in this special space. You’re also invited to learn about and perform the rituals of Sukkot by shaking the lulav and etrog, tasting local honey from Marshall’s Farm, and more. You’ll also explore the beauty of impermanence by creating vibrant foraged art, made up of locally sourced, organic materials, from colorful blooms to discarded corn husks. This activity will be led by Bay Area artist, Leslie Jonath, author of Foraged Art.
All are welcome. All activities are free unless otherwise noted and take place in the back plaza at Foodwise’s Ferry Plaza Farmers Market at the Ferry Building in San Francisco.
