Chef Kuldeep Singh is the Chef de Cuisine of TIYA in San Francisco’s Marina District. He hails from the picturesque mountainous region of Uttarakhand in Northern India. Born into a farmer’s family, his early years were immersed in the cultivation of grains, lentils, and millets, providing him with a profound connection to the land and its bountiful offerings. Kuldeep’s culinary trajectory began in the bustling streets of New Delhi, where he honed his skills before embarking on an international journey. His expertise in modern Indian cuisine with a touch of traditional ingredients led him to the vibrant culinary scenes of San Francisco, New York, and Chicago. Kuldeep crafts delectable dishes that embrace vegan and gluten-free options while showcasing the diversity of India’s culinary heritage.
All demos take place in the Foodwise Classroom (under the tents in front of the Ferry Building) and are free to the public, with recipes and samples for all.
