Stop by the Foodwise Classroom for a cooking demo featuring the seasonal bounty. This month, we’re showcasing Tomatoes as part of our Seasonal Spotlight program.
Chef Polly Sang was born in Busan, South Korea, and immigrated to the U.S. as a child. Growing up in Queens, NY—one of the most diverse places in the world—shaped her deep love for global flavors. Her career has reinforced the value of local ingredients, responsible sourcing, and thoughtful cooking. Her journey has taken me through kitchens in NYC and California, to cooking at the James Beard House, and working alongside renowned celebrity chefs. These days, she cooks for friends hosting gatherings, teaching home cooks recipes that build confidence and technique, and partnering with companies to elevate performance and sustainability.
All demos take place in the Foodwise Classroom (under the tents in front of the Ferry Building) and are free to the public, with recipes and samples for all.
