Mo’Raysha Pouoa, Mo’Raysha’s
Saturday, January 6, 2024, 12:00 pm - 12:45 pm
Stop by the Foodwise Classroom for a cooking demo featuring the seasonal bounty of the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market.
Mo’Raysha Pouoa established MoRaysha’s in 2019 as a food and catering service, selling food around her community. Word quickly got around, and the Mayor put her on the list of top Black-owned businesses in San Francisco. With proceeds from her business, she also finds time to feed the youth in her community and the community she grew up in at no cost. She says, “As I develop, I always remember where I originated from and what I am attempting to accomplish. My faithful customers are a huge piece of my prosperity. They have helped me on each step of my adventure by giving me nonstop feedback. I pride myself on providing phenomenal, cost-efficient, flavorful food, with super friendly and relatable customer service.” Find Mo’Raysha’s at the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market on Tuesdays, popping up in partnership with SF Black Wealth through Foodwise’s Building Equity program.
All demos take place in the Foodwise Classroom (under the tents in front of the Ferry Building) and are free to the public, with recipes and samples for all.
