Raised in the Bay Area, Michael Carlisi has been involved in some of the most formative restaurant and bar entities that have shaped the current culture of the hospitality industry in northern California. From his early days as a barback to his leadership at East Bay flagships Cesar, Paisan, Adesso, and Comal, shifting to San Francisco’s Slanted Door, Novela, RX, Douglas Room, Benjamin Cooper, The Treasury, and now at Barrio. Michael has carved out his place at the round table of Bay Area’s finest barmen.

All demos take place in the Foodwise Classroom (under the tents in front of the Ferry Building) and are free to the public, with recipes and samples for all.
