Stop by the Foodwise Classroom for a cooking demo featuring the seasonal bounty of the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market. This month, we’re showcasing Greens of Spring as part of our Seasonal Spotlight program.
J.M. Hirsch is the co-author of Milk Street Backroads Italy, and a James Beard and IACP Award-winning food and travel writer. He is editorial director of Christopher Kimball’s Milk Street and the former national food editor for The Associated Press. He is the author of seven cookbooks, including Milk Street Backroads Italy, Freezer Door Cocktails: 75 Cocktails That are Ready When You Are, Pour Me Another: 250 Ways to Find Your Favorite Drink, and Shake Strain Done: Craft Cocktails at Home.
All demos take place in the Foodwise Classroom (under the tents in front of the Ferry Building) and are free to the public, with recipes and samples for all.
The demo will be followed by a book signing with book sales courtesy of Book Passage.
