Stop by the Foodwise Classroom for a cooking demo featuring the seasonal bounty of the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market.
Amy Orlandi, a functional medicine gut health coach, is passionate about inspiring people to see that healthy cooking can be both simple and delicious. She will be demonstrating recipes from her new book, Simply Nourished with Fermented Foods: Easy Ways to Add Gut-Healthy Foods to Meals You Love. The book was inspired by her work with Tiny Health, where she discovered that many people wanted to eat more fermented foods but often lacked simple, practical ideas for incorporating them into meals for themselves and their families. As a past volunteer for the Ferry Plaza’s cooking demos, Amy is excited to be back in the kitchen. During her cooking demonstration, Amy will be highlighting products from Wise Goat Organics, a vendor at the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market, showcasing how easy it can be to add gut-healthy foods into everyday meals.
All demos take place in the Foodwise Classroom (green tent in front of the Ferry Building) and are free to the public, with recipes and samples for all.
