Yeyen Gunawan, La Vie Wellness

Sunday, February 5, 2017, 11:00 am - 11:45 am

Stop by CUESA’s Jack London Square Farmers Market in Oakland  for a cooking demo with one of our market sellers, Yeyen Gunawan of La Vie, featuring the seasonal bounty of the market.

La Vie started in 2005 as an organic café in downtown Santa Cruz. In 2007 they moved into Farmers Markets throughout the Bay Area, and in 2013 they expanded to the North and East Bay. In 2015 they celebrated their 10th year of supporting healthy lifestyles through nutrition. Their founder Yeyen Gunawan is an avid yogini who understands that wellness starts from the inside. Their team continues to develop products that powerfully transform the health of our customers. All La Vie drinks are made in Santa Cruz using organic (when ever possible) and unpasteurized ingredients sourced within 200 miles of their Capitola Tasting Room.

Their mission is to provide the freshest, tastiest, and most delicious wellness drinks, built on the power of probiotics, to support digestive health and overall wellness. They take their mission seriously. Providing their customers with the best and purest ingredients helps them grow and stay healthy. Superfood ingredients provide brain food to help them grow smart and function at optimal levels. Probiotics support their immune systems to keep them healthy.  Their drinks are designed for all people of all ages, from babes-in-arms on up.

La Vie’s all-natural, probiotic wellness drinks are made with an infusion of fresh juices and superfood ingredients. They offer a range of over 17 healthy drinks, including a variety of freshly made almond milks, and the first ever multi-day Probiotic Juice Cleanse. They make their drinks using mostly locally grown ingredients grown within 200 miles of our Santa Cruz kitchen, and they encourage their customers to participate in their recycling and re-use program designed to reduce waste and increase the sustainability of their packaging.

“As a yoga enthusiast, I created these revitalizing beverages which were born from my personal journey to optimal health.”

~ Yeyen Gunawan, Founder & Visionary

All demos take place at the CUESA Classroom (adjacent to the info booth at Broadway &Water Street) and are free to the public, with recipes and samples for all.
