Valentina Guolo-Migotto, Ca' Momi Osteria (Eat Drink SF Preview Series)

Saturday, August 13, 2016, 12:00 pm - 12:45 pm

Stop by the CUESA Classroom for a cooking demo featuring the seasonal bounty of the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market and highlighting the upcoming festival Eat Drink SF.

Ca’ Momi Osteria is a downtown Napa destination for obsessively authentic Italian cuisine, wine, cocktails and hospitality. Chef Valentina Guolo-Migotto recreates the classic Italian recipes she grew up with, researching the most traditional and authentic version of a recipe and then heartcrafting it to perfection using organic, local and Italian ingredients. Lunch and dinner menu items showcase the kitchen’s nose-to-tail focus with an emphasis on regional specialties such as Coda all Vaccinara (Braised Oxtail Stew) with tomato, soffritto, pinoli and raisins common to the Lazio region, Tuscan Gnudi with ricotta and spinach or Sardegnian Spaghetti alla Bottarga. They also feature APN and VPN certified Pizza Napoletana and offer a seasonal menu reflecting their garden to table philosophy. Feeling thirsty? Ca’ Momi Osteria also offers a comprehensive selection of local Napa Valley and imported Italian wines, organic house-brewed beer, all-natural craft spirits, garden-to-glass cocktails and an impressive selection of Italian amari (bitters). The restaurant uses sustainably sourced and creatively repurposed materials to create a modern yet rustic décor, where organic warmth, intricate brickwork, wooden beams, and soaring rafters welcome guests to relax and enjoy the luminous and inviting space.

All demos take place in the CUESA Classroom (under the white tents in front of the Ferry Building) and are free to the public, with recipes and samples for all.
