Todd Renner, Tender Greens

Stop by the CUESA Classroom for a cooking demo featuring the seasonal bounty of the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market.
Todd spent his summers during his college years at San Diego State University backpacking through Europe, eating and drinking for months at a time. His curiosity led him to explore when and why certain foods and ingredients were created so that he could better prepare and serve his dishes in an authentic way. Todd has a particular love for cooking barbecue, Southern food and fermenting his own hot sauces. Prior to Tender Greens, he was the executive chef at Blind Lady Alehouse, and before that he honed his culinary talents at the US Grant Hotel and Farm House Cafe in San Diego. When Todd is not in the kitchen he enjoys deep sea fishing with friends and fellow chefs, and eating what he catches.
All demos take place in the CUESA Classroom (under the white tents in front of the Ferry Building) and are free to the public, with recipes and samples for all.
