Support CUESA at glassybaby's Light the Bay

Would you give an hour of your time tonight to help CUESA win $55,555? What if we also told you we’re throwing you a party afterwards?
Our Ferry Building neighbor glassybaby is celebrating having donated $5 million to community groups through the sale of their handblown votives by giving away even more money. Their Light the Bay event will reward the top 10 nonprofit organizations that rally the largest teams to attend the lighting ceremony at the Ferry Plaza.
We are currently in 2nd place and need another 50 big-hearted persons to commit an hour of their time tonight. And it won’t cost you a dime! Generous CUESA donors have already underwritten the cost of all votives and just need you to hold them for the photo. Your hour of time means $55,555 to support San Francisco youth, local farmers, and CUESA’s work to change our food system for the better. We can’t do this without your help!

WHO: You, our CUESA supporters and volunteers, join CUESA staff on Thursday, September 22, to support the students, farmers, and community who benefit from our educational programs.
WHAT: Our Ferry Building neighbor glassybaby is celebrating having donated $5 million to community groups through the sale of their handblown votives by giving away even more money. Their Light the Bay event will reward the top 10 nonprofit organizations that rally the largest teams to attend the lighting ceremony at the Ferry Plaza.
Join the CUESA team for a group photo followed by an appreciation happy hour in the CUESA Kitchen at the Ferry Building. If we have a strong enough show of support of 50+ people, CUESA has the opportunity to win from $1,000 to $55,000.
WHEN: Thursday, September 22, 2016, 6:30-8:30 pm
6:30 pm: Check in, pick up your glassybaby votive, and take pictures with the CUESA team.
7:30 pm: Photo taken with the full glassybaby giving community holding their lit votives.
7:45-8:30 pm: CUESA appreciation happy hour in the CUESA Kitchen.
WHERE: Meet at the Gandhi statue behind the Ferry Building for the photo opportunity then the CUESA Kitchen for an appreciation reception.
Important Steps:
- Reserve your votive at Brown Paper Tickets here: lightthebay.brownpapertickets.com. With service fee and taxes, the total will be $50.75. For Question 1, answer “CUESA” (“Please let us know the nonprofit organization you are participating for or would like to see win the final donation”). Everyone receives a special edition “give me five” glassybaby votive. If the cost of the votive is prohibitive, but you’d like to participate, please let us know by email.
- Let us know you’ll be participating by emailing us so we can plan for the fun happy hour. The first 20 people who email us will receive a limited edition vintage Ferry Plaza Farmers Market apron.
- Arrive on Thursday, September 22, 6:30 pm at plaza behind the Ferry Building for the team photo with a reception to follow.
