Stop by the CUESA Classroom for a cooking demo featuring the seasonal bounty of the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market.
Ben de Vries is the Executive Chef and Owner of luella, a charming neighborhood spot located in Russian Hill San Francisco. De Vries’ passion for food runs deep, and he is a man of extremes — his love for the perfect pizza is equal to his love of The French Laundry. “I appreciate food that doesn’t try to be something it’s not,” he says. luella’s menu can best be described as contemporary American, with roots in Italy, Spain and France.
All demos take place in the CUESA Classroom (under the white tents in front of the Ferry Building) and are free to the public, with recipes and samples for all.
