Stop by the CUESA Classroom for a demo featuring the seasonal bounty of the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market. A book signing will follow, and books will be available for purchase from Book Passage.

With an MFA in Textiles from the California College of Arts and Crafts and certified in Permaculture, Sasha Duerr founded Permacouture Institute with a love for cross-pollination. With over 10 years of experience in textiles and environemntal strategy, Sasha teaches at universities, residencies, and in school and community gardens across the United States and abroad. Sasha received multiple grants to develop curriculum in sustainable fibers and dyes. She has taught natural dyeing and built curriculum at the Edible Schoolyard in Berkeley, CA, as well as other grassroots educational initiatives. She is the author of Natural Color: Vibrant Plant Dye Projects for Your Home and Wardrobe.

All demos take place in the CUESA Classroom (under the white tents in front of the Ferry Building) and are free to the public.
