Olivier Said, Kitchen on Fire
Saturday, August 6, 2016, 10:30 am - 11:15 am
Stop by the CUESA Classroom for a cooking demo featuring the seasonal bounty of the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market.
Chef Olivier Said is one of the East Bay’s popular culinary personalities and the co-founder of the acclaimed Kitchen on Fire cooking school, located two doors away from Alice Waters’ landmark Chez Panisse Restaurant in the heart of Berkeley’s famed Gourmet Ghetto.
Prior to opening KoF in March 2006, Olivier Said spent eight years as an owner and bar manager for Berkeley’s popular Cesar Tapas Bar. He has also co-authored two highly-successful books – CESAR: Recipes from a Tapas Bar, named one of the Top 10 Cookbooks of 2003 by Food & Wine magazine, and THE BAR: A Spirited Guide to Cocktail Alchemy.
All demos take place in the CUESA Classroom (under the white tents in front of the Ferry Building) and are free to the public, with recipes and samples for all.
