Oakland Restaurant Week Sneak Peek: Jack Andrews, The Terrace Room
Sunday, January 14, 2018, 12:00 pm - 12:45 pm

Stop by CUESA’s Jack London Square Farmers Market in Oakland for a cooking demo with a chef participating in the upcoming Oakland Restaurant Week, featuring the seasonal bounty of the Jack London Square Farmers Market.
The Terrace Room is a full service restaurant & bar with reinvented American classic dishes. Jack Andrews has been Executive Chef there since March. He got an early start cooking for his family as a teenager. A stint in the Navy resulted in time spent in Japan and the chance to experience that country’s culture. Subsequent opportunities to travel further inspired his love of the culinary arts and over time he worked in kitchens in California, New York, New Jersey and Arizona. Bay Area venues have included Restaurant Lulu, Blue Plate, Mayfield Cafe, Franny’s, Arturos and Square SF. Professional experience has also included running bars, consulting and designing menus for a variety of restaurants. Most recently Andrews was Regional Executive Chef for corporate food provider Guckenheimer.
All demos take place at the CUESA Classroom (in the Palm Plaza at Embarcadero West and Webster Street, near the Info Booth) and are free and open to the public, with samples and recipes for all.
