Milos Ljubomirovic, The InterContinental Mark Hopkins

Saturday, July 20, 2019, 10:30 am - 11:15 am

Stop by the CUESA Classroom for a cooking demo featuring the seasonal bounty of the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market and highlighting one of our market sellers.

Born and raised in Serbia, InterContinental Mark Hopkins Executive Sous Chef Milos Ljubomirovic knew he wanted to be a chef when he was in elementary school. “My mother worked a lot and I decided to help her out in the kitchen so she had more time to rest. I loved providing memorable experiences for my family and friends and found myself enrolled in a culinary high school and later at the College of Hotel Management in Belgrade.” After completing his studies and honing his skills in the city, Milos joined the Princess Cruises team where he not only traveled to different parts of the globe but also learned to cook a variety of international cuisines. After a few years, he landed in Northern California, working for the Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn on the banquet team. When an opportunity to join the InterContinental Mark Hopkins team presented itself, he didn’t hesitate. “I had admired the InterContinental Hotel in Belgrade since childhood. I always held it in high regard and tried to picture myself working for an InterContinental property someday.” Milos joined the team in 2017 and currently lives in San Francisco.

All demos take place in the CUESA Classroom (under the tents in front of the Ferry Building) and are free to the public, with recipes and samples for all.
