Market to Table Demo at Jack London Square with Mani Niall, Sweet Bar Bakery

Stop by CUESA’s Jack London Square Farmers Market in Oakland  for a cooking demo featuring the seasonal bounty of the Jack London Square Farmers Market.

Mani Niall is the founder, owner and chief cupcake froster at Sweet Bar Bakery in Oakland, California.

Niall learned his craft at an old school natural foods restaurant in LA where he met Michael Jackson and became his first private chef during the era of the Thriller album.
In 1990, he founded Mani’s Bakery which Eating Well magazine dubbed “Bakery to the Stars.” Moving to San Francisco in 1999, Niall worked in food product development as a culinary teacher for the National Honey Board and 6 years as Executive Chef for Just Desserts.  Following his true love, baking for people in a retail café format, he opened Sweet Bar Bakery in November of 2012.

All demos take place at the CUESA Classroom (adjacent to the info booth at Broadway & Water Street) and are free to the public, with recipes and samples for all.
