Lenore Estrada is the co-founder and owner of Three Babes Bakeshop, a woman and minority owned bakery business located in San Francisco that is committed to supporting and promoting local and organic farming. Since the company launched as a popup business in 2011, Three Babes pies have have been honored among the best pies in America by news outlets such as Food+Wine Magazine, Travel and Leisure, The Cooking Channel, The Today Show, NPR, and more. Three Babes began selling at the Saturday Ferry Plaza Farmers Market in 2013 and launched a wholesale line of breakfast pastries and desserts for select corporate dining programs in 2016. This January, after many years of renting shared spaces, Three Babes will open the doors to their very own kitchen and retail space in San Francisco’s Mission District. You can follow Three Babes on Instagram at @threebabes.
Beyond baking pies, Lenore is passionate about community engagement, the alleviation of poverty, supporting small business owners, and entrepreneurship more broadly. She made headlines earlier this year after taking a stand against Munchery, a venture-backed startup that closed without paying its small local vendors. Lenore is originally from California’s Central Valley and is one of seven children.
