As a Japanese mom, Moe, also known as “Kimono Mom,” loves sharing her love for Japanese home cooking. Her simple and accessible recipes are loved by millions of people throughout the world. Moe started her YouTube channel, showcasing the unique intersections of her identity and interests: kimono and cooking. What first started as a way to overcome her postpartum depression by connecting with others online, she quickly gained traction by introducing Japanese home cooking to an international audience, stealing millions of hearts

Moe is trying to spread Japanese home cooking to the world from her kitchen. She introduces recipes that are easy to prepare for those who ie outside of Japan. It is her greatest joy to see people from various countries trying to make the Kimono Mom’s recipes.

All demos take place in the Foodwise Classroom (green tent in front of the Ferry Building) and are free to the public, with recipes and samples for all.
