Joy Wilson, Joy the Baker
Saturday, April 1, 2017, 12:00 pm - 12:45 pm

Stop by the CUESA Classroom for a cooking demo featuring the seasonal bounty of the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market. The demo will be followed by a book signing, thanks to our friends at Book Passage.
Joy Wilson is well known for her daily dabbles in butter and sugar as her blogging alter ego, Joy the Baker. Since its launch in 2008, Joy the Baker has received many accolades, including being selected as one of the 50 Best Food Blogs by The Times (London) and being named Best Baking and Dessert Blog by Saveur, among other notable awards. Joy’s content has also been featured in oulets like Better Homes & Gardens and on sites like Food52, Buzzfeed, The Kitchn and more. A native Californian, Joy now lives in New Orleans with her big orange cat, Tron. When she’s not baking, blogging or Instagraming, she’s searching for the best Sazerac in town or finding her zen in yoga class. Her new book Over Easy: Sweet and Savory Recipes for Leisurely Days is here to spice up your morning meal, letting us ease all too lazily into the afternoon.
All demos take place in the CUESA Classroom (under the white tents in front of the Ferry Building) and are free to the public, with recipes and samples for all.
