Stop by CUESA’s Jack London Square Farmers Market in Oakland for a cooking demo featuring the seasonal bounty of the Jack London Square Farmers Market.
Based in Oakland, husband-and-wife team Joshua Burbridge and Amber Petersen of True Family Foods make full-flavored organic fermented foods and drinks, including traditional and imaginative krauts, kimchees, seasonal pickles, and kombucha, highlighting local and regional ingredients. You can find True Family Foods ferments at the Jack London Square Farmers Market on Sundays. This year they are a finalist for the Good Food Awards for their habanero turmeric kimchi. The winners of the Good Food Awards will be announced in January.
All demos take place at the CUESA Classroom (adjacent to the info booth at Broadway & Water Street) and are free to the public, with recipes and samples for all.
