Jennifer Luttrell is the Culinary Director and Executive Chef at Point Reyes Farmstead Cheese Company. This third-generation, woman-owned family ranch is located along Tomales Bay in West Marin. When the Giacominis transformed their family-run operation from a fluid milk dairy to an artisan cheese company in 2000, they knew they wanted to create something that would combine their mutual appreciation of farm fresh food and their love for the land where they were raised. The Fork, a culinary event and education venue, is located on the farm and is one of the stops along the California Cheese Trail. The Fork offers personal experiences that foster the essence of the relationship between farm, food and table. A visit to The Fork allows cheese lovers to connect the dots between the cheese they are buying at specialty stores and/or their local farmers’ market and its source. All demos take place in the Foodwise Classroom (under the tents in front of the Ferry Building) and are free to the public, with recipes and samples for all.
