Finn Oakes, Steadfast Herbs
Saturday, February 23, 2019, 12:00 pm - 12:45 pm

Stop by the CUESA Classroom for a talk and hands-on activity featuring the seasonal bounty of the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market and highlighting one of our market sellers. This demo will also connect to the theme of Preserving Biodiversity from The Food Change, a new multifaceted educational project from CUESA.
Steadfast Herbs support folks in taking care of themselves and each other through handmade tinctures, teas, and salves from herbs grown in Pescadero. They cultivate their own organic herbs at Root Down Farm in Pescadero, CA. They also use local honey and beeswax from Oakland’s Bee Healthy Honey Shop, make their own vinegar and source organic and local materials as often as possible.
Finn Oakes is an energetic herbalist, writer and educator who believes in the transformative intersection of healing and justice work. They have trained as a clinical herbalist with Karyn Sanders and Sarah Holmes at the Blue Otter School of Herbal Medicine and are also trained as a flower essence and energy work practitioner.
All demos take place in the CUESA Classroom (under the tents in front of the Ferry Building) and are free to the public, with recipes and samples for all.
