Dominica Rice-Cisneros, Cosecha

Sunday, February 12, 2017, 11:00 am - 11:45 am

Stop by CUESA’s Jack London Square Farmers Market in Oakland for a cooking demo with Dominica Rice-Cisneros of Cosecha featuring the seasonal bounty of the farmers market.

Cosecha (which translates to harvest) brings together the bounty of the Bay Area’s best ingredients, offering a warm and cozy place to gather, talk, and rejuvenate in the historic Swan’s Market. Those who find their way to her Old Oakland location will experience the communion of California and Mexico and will find comfort in their home-style offerings. They prepare everything from scratch every day, including handmade tortillas, pastries, and complex traditional entrees, as well as seasonal salads and soups. Dominica has been cooking professionally in the Bay Area, Mexico City, and New York for the past seventeen years. She worked at Chez Panisse, Eccolo, and Restaurant Soleil in the Mexican capitol.

All demos take place at the CUESA Classroom (adjacent to the info booth at Broadway &Water Street) and are free to the public, with recipes and samples for all.
