City of Gold: A Conversation with Jonathan Gold

Saturday, March 26, 2016, 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Join Pulitzer Prize-winning restaurant critic Jonathan Gold and director Laura Gabbert for an exclusive San Francisco engagement at the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market, celebrating the theatrical release of City of Gold, which opens in San Francisco at Embarcadero Center Cinema on March 25. In this richly penetrating documentary odyssey, Gold shows us a Los Angeles where ethnic cooking is a kaleidoscopic portal to the mysteries of an unwieldy city and the soul of America. The San Francisco Chronicle’s Jonathan Kauffman will moderate the Q&A, allowing time for audience questions.

This event takes place at the CUESA Classroom tent in front of the Ferry Building. Limited seating will be available (first come, first served), and there will be standing room around the periphery.

You can also catch a live Q&A with Jonathan Gold and Laura Gabbert at the March 25 and 26 7:05 pm showings at Embarcadero Center Cinema (reserved seating).
