Bay Leaf Kitchen and Eatwell Farm

Saturday, March 11, 2017, 10:30 am - 11:15 am

Stop by the CUESA Classroom for a cooking demo featuring the seasonal bounty of the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market and highlighting a relationship forged at the market.

Eatwell Farm and Bay Leaf Kitchen have been partnering, over the last three years, to educate families and children about local, sustainable food and produce and how to cook it!  Together, they teach the whole process from the seed to mouth.  Bay Leaf Kitchen programs make regular visits to Eatwell Farm in Dixon, CA bringing children to the farm to harvest, cook and eat together.

Sitting on 105 acres of all organic, pasture-raised, down-to-earth, crunchy-fresh, farm heaven, Eatwell Farm (just outside Dixon, CA) has been providing market shoppers with amazing, fresh-picked produce and pasture-raised chicken eggs for over 20 years. They grow hundreds of varieties of fruits and vegetables to ensure a year-round, diverse variety of the best produce, and to ensure that their cornucopia is as resilient as it is varied and sustainably grown.

All demos take place in the CUESA Classroom (under the white tents in front of the Ferry Building) and are free to the public, with recipes and samples for all.
