CUESA's Fall Fruit Pie Contest

October 12, 2015

Time to pull out that rolling pin and your best fall fruit pie recipe! Autumn is upon us, which means apples, pears, and nuts abound at CUESA’s farmers markets, ripe for luscious pie filling baked into a tender, flaky crust. You are invited to submit your best pie at CUESA’s Mission Rock Farmers Market Pop-Up at The Yard on Sunday, October 25.

To showcase the best of the season from our local farms, your pie must feature one or more California-grown fall fruits from our local farmers as the primary ingredient. Any other fruits, nuts, or vegetables should be seasonal. Check out our fruit and nut seasonality charts, do your shopping at CUESA’s Ferry Plaza Farmers Market on Saturday, and see our easy-as-pie tips for inspiration.

Prizes

The top three winners will receive a ribbon and a selection of prizes from Williams-Sonoma, The San Francisco Giants, San Francisco Magazine, Belcampo Meat Co., Fruitilicious Farm, Haverton Hill Creamery, Humphry Slocombe, and Park & Pond. They will also be featured in the CUESA e-letter.
